SUMMER CAMP AT BAYLOR SCHOOL CHATTANOOGA
the Village USA is a unique summer camp program designed specifically for American and European boys and girls between the ages of 14 and 18 years old. It truly is an unparalleled summer camp experience. Live together on the magnificent campus of The Baylor School of Chattanooga, Tennessee with participants of similar age who will share their culture and experiences.
Engage in carefully planned structured and unstructured summer camp activities that will foster personal and professional growth of each individual. Three weeks in a distinctive cross-cultural environment learning new customs, participating in a wide array of sports activities, going on multiple fun excursions, and developing friendships that will last long beyond the summer.
Professional Development and University Preparation
Part of the mornings at the Village USA are spent working on interpersonal skills and preparing for university and a professional future. Learn to develop good communication skills through teamwork, presentations, and public speaking exercises.
No books and no studying. All activities are designed to develop increased self confidence in each individual Villager. Spend 20 hours per week working on professional development.
Make International Friends, Share Language and Cultural Experiences
As in the Village Spain, participants of the Village USA will come from Spain and other European countries, but with the addition of American participants who will come from all around the United Sates.
The staff will be made of both international and American members. the Village USA community all within itself offers a rare opportunity for cross-cultural exchanges. For three weeks, participants will share a room with other participants of the same gender in one of the residence halls of the Baylor campus. Daily activities will be organized to facilitate as much interaction between the participants as possible. Participants will be able to choose activities based on their preference and personal interest.
Summer camp Director
Working for more than 25 years in the American university system, and having been a member of the Village Spain staff for 6 years, Allen Vital will now be the director of the Village USA program.
Vital will bring as many years of experience in organizing successful summer camps to the new the Village USA program. He currently is the Head Men’s Soccer Coach of Tusculum University, located in Greeneville, Tennessee where he resides.
After several years of careful planning and structuring, the Village USA will be introduced this summer on the spectacular campus of The Baylor School of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The program will be offered to both Spanish and American boys and girls as a response to the demands of many parents and participants of the Village Spain. From the advanced curriculum to the geographical location and the campus selected, all facets of the Village USA have been specifically designed to ensure that we enhance the delivery of all the core values that continue to bring participants back to the Village summer program year after year. Absolute safety of all participants, total language immersion, unique cross-cultural experiences, and non-stop fun each day from morning to night.
